I picture a situation five years from now where heavily used TiN burrs sell for more than retail, because they are the only ones that are actually broken in.

I guess folks aren't reading the hg-one website where they give a chart about breaking in the new burrs and the resulting speed changes (presumably a proxy for how broken-in they are)? http://hg-one.com/the-hg-one-grinder/burr-sets/

They tested a bunch of non mazzer 71mm conicals. These include italmill and others that I have no idea about. You can find it on their site. Some were much faster, but caused a lot of static. Presumably this may be solved with a coating, making the option once again viable. That's my guess.

Thanks guys! The Basket Holder also works using the Orphan Espresso Dosing Cone, so you could use either in conjunction with the Clear Magnetic Basket Holder.

Thanks Padraig!

I can make a Naked PF Holder for about any machine as long as I am sent the PF to work from. Otherwise I would need to buy every known PF in existence and that is not very practical, nor affordable for me.

Right now I only have the L-I PF to use as a model. That same PF might fit the Astoria machine, maybe some other HB Member might know about what other PF's fit that L-I Group.

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Kfir! The entire thing could be made out of aluminum but I just wanted to do something a bit different. I might try aluminum just for fun if I get bored this winter :D

The acrylic Basket Holder does work well with the OE Dosing Funnel too.
