The Dienes Mokka 88 is my favorite grinder, have had 4 so far, 2 have been given to friends, one's at home and the other one in the office. All 4 were good for espresso.

Looks great. Very nice photos.
(You forgot to put the cap nut back on the burr axle, though.)

The 88, and a DeVe 344 in the background. My 88 has the flat back (as opposed to the versions with a 'bumped out' back). It grinds to powder, but the DeVe can only grind to espresso with very fresh beans. As the beans get to 3 weeks post-roast and hence their outer limits of viability, the 344 can't quite get there (if that makes any sense at all). These are paired at work with my Peppina (along with my Kym 9450). It may be time to bring another lever into work, to give these grinders the workouts they deserve.

Too bad. If you weren't so far away, I'd go through my spare parts and send you one. You can probably find something close to home that will work. (It's mostly for looks, but it does help keep the handle locked in place.)DragonFly wrote:unfortunately I lost it
Enjoy the grinder, and welcome to HB.

thanks for your consideration. I can find at local depots. I think its M6 cap nut. shaft diameter about 6.5mm. I'm planning some mods more important than cap nut are shaft bedding and funnel for burr exit because of too much coffee sticks on the inner wood
