Hello,
I own a Varatza Vario. This grinder works very well, but grinds land on the counter and make a mess in front of the machine by the end of the day.
I was wondering if anyone has some sort of idea for a tray for collecting the grinds, similar to other grinding machines (like Mazzer).

I was thinking maybe using the tray from Fiorenzato F64 or Macap MC4 as they seem to have the similar convex front as the Barazta Vario

I don't think there is one specifically made for the Vario, but I would imagine a tamping mat like this one could work well. You can even trim the front edge to fit close if you like.

Rattleware has a grinding tray that I use: https://greenbeanery.ca/products/rattle ... cm-p-15003 (The tamping mat is not attached to the tray.)

That's not bad, but at 9.75" x 13" it's a bit too big.

I was hoping for something around 7"x8"

Yeah, that might work. Would this work under the front feet of the grinder? Or would it cause the grinder to tip backwards?

i place the grinder in a tray, I have https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IRUU046 and it works nicely, i can let grinds spew out of my grinders and not have to worry about cleanup. Once a week or two, ill use a portable vacuum and clean inside the tray.

edit: the tray allows me to also move it around for general table top cleaning as well (useful for the lady when shes cleaning the kitchen and i dont want her to touch the equipment) you could find a tray that fits your size.

That's a good idea, but I think I'd prefer something with a smaller footprint and made out of stainless steel.
Quick googling I found this 10 x 6 1/2 x 3/4 shallow stainless steel tray: https://canadawide.ca/Catalogue/Chemica ... 700.8/1347

yup there you go! I had to choose a larger one because my sette's static sprays grinds all over.
