They have service in the USA with one of their distributors so, you wouldn't be forced to send it back to Italy. That being said, I'm unaware of this being an issue. Whether they would honor a 'grey market' import for warranty issues is unknown.

I have chatted with Simone online and via email with so far good results. I'm looking at the new 65mm Atom and possibly the Mignon drip series which were just released so, it may take some time to get pricing and delivery.
