I ordered one from RoastE as I didn't get a call back from Tom and feared that they would go out of stock. Mine is to come in tomorrow via UPS.

Glad I ordered when I did as RoastE now bumped the price of the grinder up to $1347!!

Robert - I sent you a PM regarding your cost.

I also decided to jump in on the deal, right after Roaste increased the price. At the end I was able to get the previous advertised price, but with no additional discounts. Maybe I should have just dealt with Tom but thought I should support Roaste as well. Anyway, I kept reading that the K10 is a quiet grinder but mine is slightly louder than my SJ and both are used without the hopper. The Wega 6.8A's sound has more low frequency components. I don't have a sound pressure meter but the sound has to be louder than the 62-65 dB a few posters quoted on this site. How quiet is your 6.8A? Mine has a manufacturing date of 01/2007 so it is a very early version, I think.

Btw, it's very easy to remove the autofill connection after you removed the black plastic box and finger guard. Remove the bottom cover and you will see the 2 black wires coming from the black box. One of the wires connects to the On/Off switch and the other one connects to a brown wire. Disconnect both black wires and connect the brown wire that you just disconnected and connect it to the vacated connection of the other black wire on the On/Off switch. Carefully pull down the wires from the black box, wrap up the exposed connectors with electrical tape the heat shrink tubing and tie wrap it neatly underneath.

My Wega 6.8A is also just a bit louder than my SJ and Mazzer Mini e. More noticeable when empty. They are all leagues quieter than my Cimbali Max.

Where can I purchase the parts to modify my K10 Pro Barista from its stock doser to doserless?

I'm too interested on the parts # and where you bought them. Can you let us know?
I have a K6 and I'm considering the same mod.
Cheers.

All I am sorry for not replying to this thread for a while. I ordered the parts directly from Compak USA. I may have replied to a recent PM message stating I ordered it from Wega. That was incorrect. I recall now that it was Compak and they were very helpful in providing me with details of all of the parts that I needed for this. In terms of specific part numbers I will do some digging to see if I have an email confirmation or something that has the details and post back if I can find it. Otherwise you should be able call them directly and ask for the parts.

Update:

After doing some digging on the compak website I found this:

K06400 as the part number for the chute after reviewing the parts list here:

Good luck!

I can't for the life of me find a supplier of this chute on line. If anyone has success, I'd sure appreciate being steered in the right direction. I really like my K10, but I'd like to try it as doserless. I do have the Orphan mini hopper coming but still. Please give me a heads up if you find a supplier for the chute. Thanks.
