I'm doing a field testing of COMPAK PKR grinder model w/o auto weighing.

There are various functions, but burr of pkr is the most attractive. It doesn't have a bolt hole on it and shows a very uniform grinding distribution compared to my e10 conical grinder.

Today I just post a few picture of it. Any question?

Interesting. What is the little belt driven contraption on top of what appears to be the chute?

I would guess the rotating chute that distributes the grinds we've seen in videos.

That looks a lot like the inside of a Ditting...

The burr has no intake/bean crushing section; is there an augur?

Does it grind for espresso or EKspresso?

What is the retention with single dosing?

It has the two protrusions much like an EK43... but being so few it seems integrated with the rest? Very different to what we usually see mounted this way.

Yep, There is a belt driven sweeper in a chute, so grind retention caused by static in chute will be removed. Next time I'll post a video.

It target an Espresso grind, but it is pretty good at pour over. But it's hard to get very coarse grind like for french press(Maybe to do it, it will be needed to some modify dialing range.)

Retention is quite good, very low retention with single dosing method with under 0.5g retention. But I want more little retention about 0.2 g, so I asked to add some tiny air compressor in PKR(What will happen?). The flavor test showed very interesting results. Dark roasted coffee is very impressive in its clean and transparent taste. Also, in most of the extracts, I could hardly feel the taste of over-extraction. I'll do a side by test with EK43 in the near future.
