Ceado E37S - seems to have a switch problem

Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

I have a fairly new Ceado E37S. I absolutely love it, but I'm starting to have problems with the pushbutton switch that sharts the grinder. The button the portafilter presses on. Sometimes when I push the portafilter in to start the grind, the grinder makes a clicking sound and the timer counts down. Or after I finish a grind after I pull the portafilter back it starts counting down again and making that clicking sound. It's definitely not jammed-otherwise that second scenario I described would not occur. I'm guessing it's a faulty switch but I suppose it may be a firmware issue too.

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, is it an easy fix? I don't mind wrenching on a grinder, up to a certain point.

It is potentially the motor capacitor as another part that might be the root cause.

It could also be a faulty connection that allows the counter but not the motor to run.

Or a driver chip

Or a bad solder joint

Or ???

Best get it looked at pronto... before all the smoke gets out.
