Baratza Sette 270wi and an Olympia Cremina

Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

Before I start I want to say I love my Sette 270wi and I love my cremina
However, I am grinding at 2A on the Sette to ensure that I can pull a shot
At times my first pull of the day (after warming up the Cremina) will run thru the grinds ( tho there is normal resistance on subsequest pulls).
Since I only have one macro click to go and I dont have the hands to install a shim I am kind of bummed out
I've seen videos online that say they grind above 7!
Any suggestions for why I need to go so fine?
thanks

Installing a shim only takes a couple of minutes. I have 3 installed on mine. All grinders season and require a finer grind. Even the mighty Monolith's. It's 100% normal.

Maybe a friend or someone in the area can help you? It was extremely simple and you can find videos online i think.

Yes. It does look simple in the video.
However it was really hard for me to just get the burrs
to attach to the unit body

What's weird is that the grind seems so fine
I'm surprised I don't choke the Olympia ?!
