I did no see any reviews on (https://www.option-o.com/shop/lagom-c38e) LAGOM mini - compact electric coffee grinder [Launch special]. I ordered as interim for Ultra (June delivery) noted will not grind fine for espresso. I plan on double grind, & hope it gets here before June. Handgrinding is getting old. I'm enjoying DecentPro received this week, still working out preset relays.

I have corrected the link in your quote. Interesting that they don' offer the espresso burrs they have for the hand grinder. Not sure this is nearly as useful as the ARCO.Covfefe Mom wrote:I did no see any reviews on LAGOM mini - compact electric coffee grinder [Launch special]. Has the grinding speed (gram per second) already been communicated somewhere? I'm interested in pour over (medium fine) specifically.

This video gives a good idea of the grinding speed with the motor attachment.
Grinding speed or quickness I should say isn't usually a characteristic of single dosing grinders.

It's a 23 min video that talks about their other projects as well.
Discussion included design lead, engineering lead, and CEO. These Goat Story guys are for real.
Their main goal was not changing the user experience with electric grinders.
Their innovation was moving outer burr not inner burr - 6:14 mark.
Working on the hand grinder ball - has to be in two parts for mfg.
One challenge was getting enough power for the 110V market and keeping cost low. 11:39
First ones to make multiple turns of outside ring to move outer burr 12:30
Working on manufacturing specs - might be a week or two delay - about 35 (he said 30 then 15+20) off the shelf parts excluding bearings, screws small parts - 15 injection molding parts - 20 machine parts SS or aluminium
They were surprised about the Kickstarter engagement on grind quality but appreciated it.
Goat Story roasts coffee too and they want to be everything coffee. They think about it day and night.
I could see these guys making a great little lever. They hinted as something espresso related. 22:00
It's not just about what but how and why - they want to interrupt the market. Disrupt the market. Working on a coffee ecosystem.

Outer burr movement mechanism is similar to vintage manual focus photo camera lenses, being around for a century.
The surprising part for me is how they managed to do it so cheap, the threads of such mechanism are high class manufacturing.
