Mizen is an Option-O specific line of burr-sets, with the Omni, a Lab Sweet type, being the first Mizen set released.

I'd assume Hansung meant he was working on a 98mm Lab Sweet type rather than a Mizen type. Last I'd heard he had abandoned the idea, but who knows?

Correct, Option-O has confirmed through multiple sources, including myself via email, that they are making 98mm Mizen burrs. Don't know what Hansung/SSP is planning, but yeah, the last I heard he scrapped plans for a 98mm Lab Sweet burr and made 80/83mm instead.

I think you're missing the point. "Mizen" is not a burr. Mizen is a *line* of various upcoming burrs by Option-O. Currently the only Mizen burrs that have been released are the Omni's,

So saying he's working on "a Mizen burr" literally makes no sense. It's like saying that SSP is working on a Shuriken burr. Shuriken is a line of burrs, not a specific burr-set.

What he's working on is a 98mm Lab Sweet type, which is what the Omni is also modeled after. Even if you say he's working on an "Omni-style burr" that sounds dumb because Omni is already a Lab Sweet style. You're literally saying he's working on a clone of a clone.

Got it. Mizen is Option O's brand name for their in house burrs (they only have the one 64mm Omni so far) and Shuriken is the brand name Kafatek uses for their line of in house burrs (LM, SW, etc) they use on their grinders.

I've just been glancing at threads but it seems like burr manufacturing/milling is new to option o and they have some growing pains/ issues. Personally wouldn't want to pay the asking price to be a beta tester for the 98mm mizens.

Option-O hasn't made any mention of any future 98mm Mizen options.

It's Hansung with SSP we're talking about, and I highly doubt that he's making a burr-set specifically for Option-O as that would go against their plan to produce Mizen's in-house.

I have no idea what is being talked about. Going back to work.

Ah sorry. missed that one. I was referring to the earlier comment by dixi08 that SSP was making Mizen burrs. That's the only comment I'm referring to.

Yep my bad it was Option-o that told me about their Mizen 98mm Omni burrs, I guess I was thinking about SSP Lab Sweet burrs when I wrote this! Ahaha

Yeah, I saw the post about it later and acknowledged that I missed it two posts up.
