80mm 'Boyt Super' Ditting burr - Page 3
The outfalls (opening depth of the teeth at the edge when together) are different. The 80mm HU side opening holes are deeper and much wider than the Ultra-Low-Fines ones'.EvanOz85 wrote:They're SSP's blind version.
Just curious...are those machined burrs the special steel burrs or the SSP machined burrs?atao wrote:I have 80mm 804 machined and 80mm lab sweet burrs both with an 804 grinder.
The edge of the ULF burrs are chamfered, while the Red Speed HUs are not. They are also shown at an angle in the pic, so it might not be a good way to judge outfall between the two. Not saying there isn't differences but that has fooled us before. In addition SSP is often slightly changing their burrs over time. They might be the same exact burr if both was produced by SSP at the same time.
SSP also use different numbers of teeth on the two burrs in a set so the way the outfall slits looks change as you go around the burr, for comparison both sets should be aligned similarly on top of each other.
Ditting steel not SSP.jaegerc wrote:Just curious...are those machined burrs the special steel burrs or the SSP machined burrs?
