Hello!

I need advice about how to spot weld a crack in the dipper tube on my Sama Lusso. I let the lever slip our of my hand today, and the immense force from the spring caused a pinhole crack in the tube, near the pressure fitting end where inserts in the group

As far as I can see, there is nothing one can tell from that picture. A picture showing the problem might help. But no matter what, "spot welding" is not what it needs, that's a process for a different kind of joint.

Is it possible to mend a crack in the dipper tube with some solder? I suppose the pipe is copper with some kind of zinc plating.

Silver solder might do if the crack is clean and the edges are sharp. Again, that pictures shows nothing and that makes it hard to offer advice. It's possible that 95/5 tin/silver might work but I'd not bet on it.
