Hi

I'm new on this forum and also pretty new in the coffee world.

I wonder if there exist portafilter baskets with large holes which results in less pressure in the portafilter and a higher flow rate.

If they exist; what are the brands, models and hole diameters?

Thanks for your help.

Have a nice weekend

Tom

Your better off grinding coarser to increase flow rate and decrease pressure.

yes I know that, but this is for another purpose and hence I'm really looking for baskets with largers holes

For the most part, non-pressurized baskets have more than enough holes to really not have much of an effect on the pressure or flow through the group. Even at the maximum flow the gicleur will allow, the basket won't even make a grouphead gauge twitch.
