I'm considering a brew specific grinder. I was looking at the fellow ode, but a Bunn G9 came up for a decent price locally. Is a Bunnzilla still worth considering with the grinders that are available now? Most of the Bunn info I found was from 2-6 years ago. My tastes run medium in general, but I plan to experiment with light roasts. I've had some intriguing roasting mistakes.

I'm a complete newbie so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't think the G9 is zilla-able. I just picked up a G1 myself and slowly going to turn it into a zilla, even though it's completely unnecessary.

My good friend has the ODE (strictly pour-over) and he says it's okay but not worth the price upgrade from his Encore

I've seen at least two people use the G9. You can't do the case chop, but I would build my own wooden case either way.
The Bunn+SSP seems like the best way to get a large flat burr.
