Hi everyone, I am currently restoring an old BFC Junior Plus (from 2003 or 2004 I think) and everything seems to work great. It's been in use for 15 something years and was in quite bad shape when I got it.
While cleaning it I noticed that the inside of the boiler looks a bit rough (see picture). Also the e61 mushroom is black instead of the original chrome (I've read that this is a common issue for e61's). And lastly most of the pipes look good on the outside however the insides are black.
Is any of this of concern (health/quality/safety)? If so, is it possible to fix?
Inside of boiler:
End of pipe:
Mushroom:
And finally pictures of the machines before I started to restore/clean them. (I actually have two )
I'm new to the world of coffee machines and this forum, I hope this post meets all the guidelines
Have a nice day and thanks,
Ben

Black - if it doesn't scrape off with your fingernail - is the good copper oxide. It protects you from the lead that is in the brass that was used in older machines.
All the pics look good to me.
