I have been using the Brewista Kettle for about two months now. Initially, I noticed these black specks in the water out of the kettle but after two months, it's still happening. What could this be? I can confirm that water going into the kettle do not have these specks.

A photo of the water and the inside of the kettle would help.

We had a Zojirushi that did that. It took a while before the actual source became apparent but turned out to be the gray coating on the inside was flaking off and the black specks were from the metal underneath the coating. Don't rally think it was dangerous but the wife bought a new one.
