Baratza Vario W+ frequently gives err 02

Hi!
Just new grinder, so possibly user fault. But I've followed all the youtube videos, and I have both cleaned out the burrs, I've recalibrated (to have the touching sound at 1M) and I'm finding it very hard to grind for espresso very finely because it keeps giving the error 2. I'm trying to grind fine in order to diagnose the very sour espresso I'm getting
Either way, error 2 means that the grinder hasn't seen any increase in weight in some time and this is not true. It is grinding (although it seems to be having some issues). I have to press start again and again and again.
I've also found that I can't go into manual mode (by pressing the start button while the machine is powering on). I wonder if there is something more broken?
