Evening all,
I'm wondering if someone could please look over my PID install plan for my 2017 Fiorenzato Colombina (0.85 litre single boiler, AKA: Vitudurum V2) and double check for any obvious issues. I haven't done a PID install before, but I have stripped and rebuilt a few Gaggia Classics and Rancilio Silvias over the years.

Renders (not to scale):
  1. Factory wiring
  2. Modified wiring
  3. PID wiring (XMT-7100)
  4. Additional image 1 (front)
  5. Additional image 2 (Gicar)

3d models (navigate with scroll wheel, left and right mouse):
  1. Factory wiring
  2. Modified wiring

Questions:
  1. Is 18AWG suitable purely for the PID itself (supply + control + earth)?
  2. Is 14AWG suitable for the SSR output circuit given the 1500w 240v boiler?
  3. Is the Fotek 40amp SSR preferable over the 25amp?
  4. Is tapping into the Indicator* lamp terminals a sound approach?
(Note: there is ample space around the lamp terminals, but not so much the main switch)
  5. Is there any concern with the PID frequently cycling the heating element on this machine?
  6. Any other thoughts or feedback appreciated.

Kind regards,
