Brazil's Conab says 2021 coffee harvest ends down 24.4% at 47.72 million bags in final review of drought and frost-hit harvest, ending as one of smallest coffee crops from in 10 years and compares to 63M bags in 2020.

There goes the blender for crema. Pressure will be on other countries' crops; prices ⬆︎.

I ended up picking up 16 bags of an estate Brazil to hopefully carry me through. 50% costlier than my usual offering, but I've had this coffee before and it's not "a blender". It does amazingly well when roasted as light as any washed Ethiopia or central. As long as I have to pay more, I might as well get a stellar coffee for the $$$. It's almost painful to roast it dark, but we do what must be done...
