Best way to prep a used espresso machine to sell?

I'm getting a used La Marzocco Linea Mini (this weekend!) and need to sell my current espresso machine. I have not used it much at all, and the one previous owner also seemed to have used it quite lightly. What are the things I should look for to properly represent it to a potential buyer? Are there tests I should run? Specific inspections I should perform? I was thinking of taking it to a specialist to check out, but I suspect it is in near mint condition (looks amazing cosmetically), and if I can check it out myself, that would be the best thing. All advice welcome!

I don't think you need to overcomplicate it. Clean it, test it by pulling a shot and steaming. Photograph or make a video to show that it works. Take photos from many angles including inside or underneath if applicable. Write about your maintenance and use of it. Photograph all accessories included, and price it fairly so you'll move it before Christmas.

Some buyers may be aware of the damage scale buildup does. Hopefully you've taken care of that with regular descaling or water hardness treatment. If not, check for scale buildup and descale, if necessary (see Checking an E61 Espresso Machine for Scale and similar discussions for instructions).

I agree with all the above. Nice photos that include pictures of anything an informed buyer would look for (scale, seals, scratches). And a nice write up that shows you knew what you were doing when you used it. That's what I've done and I think mine have sold well.
The tricky part is if they want to see it running. I've done videos and a Google meet since I didn't want people in my home.
