When removing the case on the Cremina, there is a 30mm nut below the boiler cap that must be loosened and removed. I'm wondering how tight the nut needs to be when reinstalling the case? Should it just be snug or should it be tightened until it no longer turns? I guess I'm concerned about over tightening and warping the case.

Snug is good enough. I am doing it by my fingers only.

I tighten it finger tight; it's only purpose is keeping the case in its place. To avoid scratching the chrome while tightening the nut, I push down on the top to flex it downward just a tad.
