If you set your dial a zero when the burrs touch, what setting are you using for grinding dark beans for espresso?

Nobody can say for sure.
There are too many variables.
All dark roasts are different ... Water is different ... Air humidity is different ... Portafilter baskets are different ... etc.

I running a medium roast uganda at a setting around 2.2. Hope that helps.

How much coarse if you want to do a triple espresso?

Well ran some tests today on 25 grams, double my setting on the 1.5 to 3 and channel and looked like a dirty shower head, then 2.25 and poor taste and one or two channels, tomorrow I'll try again

I have never dosed that high. I dose @ 20 grams. Your dirty screen could be because you are overfilling your basket. Start at 21 grams for a triple and go from there.
