Hi,

I'm a first time poster and was wondering if this was normal. See the video:

Water starts dripping near the bottom on both sides near the end.

Thanks!

On most machines, it's supposed to be caught in your drip tray. Unless someone who owns a 980 chimes in to the contrary, I'd say this is normal.

I've never bothered to look on my 920, so take this for speculation. I think the dripping on the left is normal, OPV over flow/shunt. The dripping on the right looks, to me like the drain screw/screws might not be closed fully.

Correct, the descale access cover is tellingly situated right above where the drip is. You either have a bad seal or just didn't screw it in properly -- FIX THIS! I have read dozens of posts from people who burned their thermal fuses by running their steam boilers dry.

See, the temperature sensor in the steam tank is at the top. If the boiler is empty, the machine won't realize it's overheating the steam boiler and the thermal fuse WILL blow. FIX IT!
