Per a farewell message from the group retiring from USA Ditting, http://ditting.com/farewell-from-ditting-usa-.html it states Prima Coffee took over the Ditting USA distributorship on 7-1-21, but I find no Ditting product listings on Prima Coffees site.

I wrote Prima Coffee with this statement in mind and they wrote back that within 2-3 weeks of July 1st they would be available...here we are. So I would expect Ditting equipment to be available imminently.

What specific product were you looking for?

Cafe Last carries certain models of Dittings at the moment, same with Voltage Restaurant Supply.

I want to check on price for extended gears for KR804, and if easy to install or if special tools are needed. Also want to ask if a new dial, 100-1200 versus mines 100-900, comes with kit. I probably wont get one, since I only do pour-over and I could just calibrate it coarser to get the 900 through 1200 but wanted to ask.

In addition after learning Ditting USA closed, I am concerned about future support if needed.

Here's a bit more information regarding the transition.

https://dailycoffeenews.com/2021/06/30/ ... perations/

Ditting is part of the Hemro group and it looks like Hemro is going to take a more direct role in the management and support aspects with Prima becoming the US distributor. The same thing happened with Mahlkonig and operations seem okay with maybe a backlog in some popular model (whether or not this is transition or covid related is anybody's guess). I assume Prima staff will eventually be trained and proficient in support and service with Ditting. I'm unsure of how long the different parties have been planning this transition, but its likely they already have been planning this for awhile. There might be some additional time for inquiries with all these changes, but I don't think Ditting is going anywhere in the long term.

Manufacturers' reps and distributors come and go. The better brands continue to thrive.
