This is the flush and go method, compared to the rebound method described in the HX Love article. Depending on the machine, some produce more consistent results with one versus the other; in the case of the Vetrano, I prefer the consistency of the rebound method, though I've not taken measurements with the thermofilter to map out precisely why as part of my rediscovery of the "holistic espresso" training methodology (more).

The Vetrano and Macap M4 Stepless sounds like a great combination. I have almost the same set, but have an Andreja Premium. I've been extremely happy with the combination and have been getting excellent results.
