You know it could even be said that those of us who don't make the flavor connection as easily could actually have more sensitive buds. If you could imagine the range of taste as a linear scale, and the flavor difference between the raspberry notes in espresso and actual raspberries as 2 points on that scale, those of us with a larger "scale" would have a greater distance between those points, thus making the flavor connection more difficult. It's fact! I learned it in Pseudo-science 101!
