I also got it the first link I tried after logging out (in addition to when logging out) - which was this page again.
Did not catch the ray-id - sorry
Edit: submitting gave another one - Ray ID: 6897f20deafc736b

It sounds almost worse. I've enabled some error reporting; if it's a PHP error, it will dump a stack trace to your browser. That's normally suppressed, but I'm hoping it will give a clue what's up.

Getting HTTP 520 Error Code

Again, upon posting this: 689826389a515425
... and logging out right after: 689827ff2bd25425
... posting the above ETA: 68982a375f865413
Fortunately, nothing seems to have been lost - when the 520 screen comes up, the messages are still being posted.

So you're saying it only happens if you're logging in? If so, which URLs? Seems like the #unread and posting.php URLs are problematic. Now that the site upgrade is complete and hasn't helped, I've opened a support ticket with Cloudflare.
UPDATE to add that I got it now... Joy.

Mine happen primarily on the iPhone and, as far as I remember, when a topic is about to be shown - either from the Recent Topics page or after submitting a post. My navigation is typically recents, topic, recents, topic, ...

Most often: clicking the notifications icon and then upon clicking to a threadHB wrote:So you're saying it only happens if you're logging in? If so, which URLs? Then: posting
When I am not logged in I click from "recent posts" and the incidence is much lower/maybe never.
I am going to switch to Chrome and see if that helps.

I've opened a thread in the Cloudflare Community, Random 520 errors. Oddly enough, since the upgrade, I'm seeing this 520 fairly regularly.

I'm tempted to say this has something to do with CF adopting HTTP/3 which I think they have done quite recently. But I may be completely wrong. Anyway, when logged in there are probably more cookies and other such info being passed, and more redirects
