Long Term Espresso Machine Storage
- innermusic
After moving, my Vivaldi II has been stored for approximately 14 months. Is this a problem? What are the issues that I might have to deal with?

Have you drained water before storage?
Anyway there surely some water remained inside. I think there is no reason why not to power it up as normal, but before you will make anything that is supposed to be drinked, I would surely passed a lot of clean water through. I mean both the grouphead and the hot water output/steam. Surely when doing this a complete cleanup will be good - citric acid through the machine and coffee detergent through the coffee head.
There is higher risk that some part could be stuck, like some valve or something, but you will see how it works. Just power it on.

From the FAQ:
If it was stored for 14 months, the steam boiler may have some funk growing in there; a quick light descaling and a good flushing will freshen it up.
