Glossary for translating Italian Boiler Auto Refill terms to English

Glossary:

Caricamento or Carichi = Charge, load
Com. (N) = Comune = Common = A.C. Neutral
Comune = Com. (N) = Common = A.C. Neutral
Ev. Caricamento = EVCAR = Electrovavle Caricamento = Auto Fill Solenoid = Livello
Electrovalve Livello = EVCALD = Level Solenoid
Livello = Level = Ev. Caricamento
Massa = Chassis Ground
Minimo = Minimum
Pompa = Pump
Riferimento = Reference
Riscaldamento = heating
Serbatoio = Serb = Tank or Reservoir

What a useful glossary, thanks!

May want to add "ABIL EROG" to the list, which is a pin on a Gicar RL30. I'm pretty sure it refers to the microswitch on the group lever. But what the heck does ABIL EROG stand for? Hope somebody on this forum can let us know.

I guess ABIL EROG is an abbreviation for ABILITA EROGAZIONE or ABILITAZIONE EROGAZIONE.

a poor translation could be: Enable the supply

but you will certainly be more technical

just add a couple of terms:
EV CALD probably means ELETTROVALVOLA CALDAIA: Boiler Electrovalve
RES means RESISTENZA = Electrical Resistance, maybe the heater

Thanks, Alberto! That makes perfect sense. I'd seen 'Erogazione' in diagrams of very early (1900's) machines, referring to the brew valve lever, didn't remember that when trying to figure this one out.

In another thread ( Gicar RL30-3ES Diagram Help ) we saw an RL30 marked with SR, SS, and SM. With help from jpboyt we learned that:
SR - sonde rifirimento (reference / ground)
SS - sonde sicurressa (safety / minimum boiler level sensor)
SM - sonde massimo ( high / full boiler sensor )
