Maybe you could try to shim the shaft I.e cut and wrap shim around it until you have a fit you're after.

Depends on generation the old had plenty play back when it was 1500 grinder, the new doesn't it's a much tighter more snug fit, with Titus carrier even more so. The ode is definitely more loose, but we are talking a 300 vs 3000 grinder now
