One is a trick I learned is to remove the dispersion screen and just use a puck screen instead. This allows more room for coffee in the stock baskets and for whatever reason it also seemed to to allow larger volume shot in one pull. The biggest advantage of this method was actually not having to worry about portafilter sneeze anymore.
