I was tempted to concoct something, but then remembered the extent of my DIY skills.

For me, the design of the hinged, covered basket and the way in which wet-from-steam grinds had to be cleaned off of the metal disk by the chute was a much greater annoyance than simply grinding in my trusty Virtuoso and brewing on my Bonavita.
Thank you foe the feedback. I appreciate hands on experience. I'll have to take a closer look at the Breville before jumping on one.
Right now I'm doing my best to prevent a future post to the "Sometimes its hard to make coffee before coffee" thread.
