The Clever Dripper worked well after I got the grind right on my Forte BG and changed my routine--thanks to James Hoffman.
Fold seamed edges and rinse filter
Fill dripper with water
Put grounds in and submerge (using a spoon) with minimal agitation
Start timer
At 2:00, gently push the crust down so the grounds start making their way to the bottom
Drain at 2:30
It's not a substitute for a V60, but it's more consistent and a bit easier to dial in with new beans.

So it's like filtering a cupping almost. I've not tried adding the coffee to the water but it seems like this is the recommended procedure. I'll have to give that a go. For the time being I'm back on my V60 and getting great results.
