I was going to get the single dose hopper. I typically have 10 - 12 different roasts on hand for my chemex (switching daily) and grinding per use.bv wrote:I have the vario and it's pretty good at switching. I use it for espresso, v60, chemex, french press, and aeropress.
I think pre-measuring/single dosing, and adjusting when empty is probably the best way to try to use when switching frequently.

A Silvano was my first real machine. I got it when they first came out and it has been rock solid. The wet puck is annoying, but it makes really good espresso and cortados.
I still use it as my "travel" machine as it is more compact than my hx.

Wet pucks aren't a problem, even though prople mention them a lot.

I was looking at the Lelit MaraX and then read some threads and suggestions about moving to the Elizabeth.G8trwood wrote:A Silvano was my first real machine. I got it when they first came out and it has been rock solid. The wet puck is annoying, but it makes really good espresso and cortados.

It checks all the boxes (from my limited knowledge) and pulling shots only for myself/wife and occasional guests.
