I was on the phone with Chris's this morning, and confirmed that I'll have to get inside to see what's up. Thankfully I'm still able to make shots as is. I'm fully comfortable getting into it to see what's up, and if need be reinstall the stock set up for the time being (thankfully they sent that with the machine)
Thank you all for the help.

Gee, that's really unfortunate If your problem is inside, then there's only one thing I can think of that it can be. This was reported by a Bianca user some time back. It seems that if the flow control seat (which replaces the jet/gicleur) is not screwed in firmly and one turns the FC down hard, the needle can become wedged into the seat. Then, when you open the valve, you're unscrewing the seat. I've no experience with this problem and don't really understand how it could result in a really high water debit. But, it's something to look out for. Good luck! -Maurice

I'm a little bummed, but not overly worried, I've rebuilt enough carburetors over the years, I'm sure I can handle it. I'll be sure to take pictures, so hopefully it'll be a help to anyone else in the future.
I do know this was a returned flow control to Chris's, and they were upfront about that when I bought it. I'm also sure that if there is anything broken inside, they'll make it right.

Got into my machine this morning, and found the issue right away, missing o ring on the base of the thing-a-ma-jig
I just stole the one from my stock unit, and now it all works beautifully.
I was also having an issue with my low water sensor, and Chris's coffee sent me a guide on how to adjust it, this involved getting right into the back of the machine, and all I supposedly had to do was adjust a little thing 1/8 turn counter clockwise....
It would not budge, I could turn it clockwise easily, but it was a hard stop trying to go counter clockwise, after putting it in a few different positions, only to still have it go off, I finally set it to full clockwise, now it doesn't go off... but I suspect I may have just turned it out entirely, so I'll have to keep an eye on that.
As a side note, the directions I got from Chris's said you don't have to take the sides off... maybe that's the case for a different machine, but for the carola, you 100% need to.
OK, time to make coffee

I'm pleased to see that you got it sorted out. You've gotta wonder what moron over at CC worked on your machine ! It would be really hard not to spot a missing green O-ring.Jesse.F wrote:<snip>Got into my machine this morning, and found the issue right away, missing o ring on the base of the thing-a-ma-jig
