Update

Bought the Motta. Naturally, it arrived just after I'd pulled my second shot of the morning, so, just as naturally, I had to pull a third (Which was just as well, being as the 2nd was disappointing, anyway.)

It was worth spending 1-1/2 to 2 times as much over the other candidates, IMO. It's a very nice bit of kit. Now, whether it'll make me a better home barista or not remains to be seen , but seeing it sitting there will probably at least impress the muggles
