I'm looking into automating my BC roaster and I need to install additional thermocouples that will be used with the TC4 board. I'm looking for recommendations on quality thermocouples I could purchase.

I'm not so sure the quality of one maker would make a big difference over another more than size and location of them..

I use Procon's I buy at eBay for a few bucks each from China.. They have lasted five years with out a issue so far on my TC4c

Quality of what? of the welding joining two wires made from known common metals ? :?
This is all inside what we know as a thermocouple.

Omega is likely as good ans anything and makes getting exactly what you want rather easy. Lots of choices, the prices are slightly higher than some other places, but you can spec tolerance if you really want accurate thermocouples.

I've found the width to be of greater importance than any other element.

I've read the post and I understand that both probe diameter and placement makes a difference. However, I have not seen specific listings of probes and that is what I'm looking for, for people that used 3mm, 4mm or 5mm probes and are happy with them and to share the information for the exact probe they purchased.
