My Elektra Semiautomatica's boiler is slowly filling on its own. I suspect that either the boiler fill solenoid is gone, or that the HX is cracked. I don't notice the boiler filling while I am brewing, but I do notice that after 15 minutes or so of being idle the brew path has gone dry, so I suspect it is the boiler fill valve.

I got a new solenoid but it doesn't have the elbow or the tee fitting that are currently on the one in my machine (see photo). I have tried to remove these fittings with no luck, so I am now attempting to buy new fittings. Does anyone know the size of the fittings?

They are more than likely 1/4" BSPP - see this: /downloads/ ... etrics.pdf .

Why not try to unscrew the cylindrical portion of the valve and soak all parts in white vinegar for an hour or so?

Thanks for the idea - I will give the soaking a try. I'm a bit worried that I damaged the threads on the tee connector trying to unscrew it.
