I'm feeling the same difficulty going from hottop to huky. I think part of it was how easy it was to roast on the hottop using roastlogger to make changes to heat/fan... and obviously you get used to knowing what to do in advance (which now you have to throw out the window). I'll tell you that I believe you made a VERYYYY wise decision skipping all the machines in-between and going to the mill city 500g.... so take that as a positive note.

Thank you all for the advice. I'm going to have to re-read everything and come up with my plan.
I especially appreciate the advice to focus on cupping. I'm avoiding focusing on the graph. On my last roast I only checked the ROR occasionally, marked end of drying, first crack and end of roast. Other than that I sat on the tryer. It was much better.
