I need suggestion for my roaster design

i made my own 1kg roaster, the cylinder drum diameter 22cm, lenght 16cm, i used 77rpm, i need suggestion for heat source, cylinder type, and exhaust mechanism, should i make it direct heat or air flow?

please help me :|

Direct heat applied to the drum, airflow to help modulate temperature and remove chaff. The beans will do both convection and conductive heating.

I used a infrared propane core from a BBQ
Also agree with above Aitken flow is a must for temp control and chaff separation
