Medium roasts in terms of roast degree. 30-40% robusta is the content he prefers (some far end of the spectrum Italian roasts).

Almost certain that the boiler is copper. It's been a while since I've had to open it up.

Portafilters are chromed brass

I've owned it for somewhere around 2.5 years. I'm not aware of any major changes.

Thanks for the clarification. That robusta content seems high, even by current Italian roasts. Each his own. 8)
Between order and chaos there is espresso.
