I like this grinder, but is this good for pour over coffee?

Anyone has the BB005 with timer and managed to remove the chassis?

I'm unable to remove the sides with the knobs.
Can the knobs be pulled out?

yes, the knobs have a setscrew/socket for stepless adj. knob, and a normal slot drive for the timer knob;
you have to remove them and then the whole side cover (u shaped section) can be removed by forcing a little - elastically - the side wall with the knobs;
carefull not to break the potentiometer shaft, and also to 'catch' the spring inside the hex nut for stepless adjustment...
hope these helps:

Thank you for replying.

It helps a lot.

I managed to get the stepless adjustment knob out but not the timer.
Did you just pull the timer knob out with force?

well, not out with force... there is "a normal slot drive for the timer knob" as pointed by the red arrow in the first picture of my previous post;
the pot shaft of the timer is of plastic so makes quite a bond with that screw; definitely you should unscrew it to remove the knob!

Bit late to the party here, but still worth replying to.

This is my first electric grinder (coming from a porlex handgrinder), and i use my BB005 for Aeropress only. Although i'm no expert on grinders, i think grind size is fairly consistent enough for pour over methods:

Adjusting takes quite some time, so definitely a 1 method grinder. But i see myself jumping into espresso in the near future :lol:
