Does anyone recognize this ?

Four of these were found in a box in the home of a late family member. Also in the box was a 1983 Elektra Micro Casa a Leva

My first thought was that it was a candle holder - one that allows you to carry the candle, without it blowing out. But the matching spoon kind of disproves that, I think.

Does the glass section come off of/unscrew from the copper base?

Those are Irish coffee mugs.
