Great! I've added an "Acaia Lunar Chemex Plate.stl" to my thing on Thingiverse. Go to the files tab and you can download just the Chemed Plate STL.

You'll need to use a slicer like Cura to convert it to g-code to print. The guys at the Makerspace should be able to help walk you through it.

My library charged ~ $0.05 / g of filament used. I don't know if the Makerspace is going to charge and if so how much.

Here is the link to the thing again... http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1663673

This is such a great idea! I have the same issue with my digital scale. (I have a Lunar but like to leave it on the drip tray, in the auto-tare/timer mode.)

I went to my local library today to try and have the portafilter plate 3D printed, but the printer indicated it would take *8 hours* to print. Perhaps I did something wrong? Any insights you can share would be great. Thanks!

Hi! It all depends on the printer and the settings... I don't know which printer they have and the speed at which it can print. Obviously, the faster its set to print the faster it will finish. Having said that... I would go with a 0.2mm layer height, 25% infill, and the design requires supports.

Mine took just over 5 hrs to print.

Damn, that's a long time. Good to know. Thanks for sharing with everyone. Hope you'll update this thread if you add new designs to Thingiverse. Cheers.

Cannot print one, but I can CNC mill it. Got a new toy.

Awesome! Did you build it yourself? If so... what design did you use? I'm considering making a CNC as well...

That is a Next Wave Automation Shark HD, 25x35. They do make a 3-D printer (and laser engraver) for it in the event I need to print something 25x25 and 7 inches tall in one pass.
