Accidental Baratza Vario macro finer adjust while off - am I good?

Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

Hi all! First post but long time lurker here.

Title says it all. Accidentally adjusted (well, it happened when packing the grinder for travel) the macro setting from R to M (finer). Some coffee was in the grind chamber and it was obviously off. I have been diligent in making sure the grinder is running when going finer.

I've heard it's not super necessary with Macro adjustment but I just wanted to hear fellow users' opinion on this? Anyone think I did any damage to the burrs?

Thank you all in advance :)

Maybe you could just run it a bit to get rid of any burr tension, but I wouldn't worry about it having caused any damage.

The burrs are fine, it is the plastic adjusting rings/levers/etc that can crack, split or stretch.

Vario is a bit more forgiving than the Preciso so you should be fine but as suggested, run it for a short spurt to resettle the burrs and remove any tension,

If this happens in the future just run the grind settings a couple clicks up to a coarser level then readjust once you start grinding again
