I'm amazed at how much coffee gets caught between the cross brace and the burr on my new lido, I have to smack the crap out of it to get the grounds out of it.

I was thinking that filing the top side of the brace may help, but maybe someone else has a simpler solution?

Where are you smacking it? If I tap from the side a few times right around the adjustment rings that tends to dislodge most of the ground coffee. The rest I brush and blow out during clean-up.

Get a little fine mist spray bottle and spritz your beans before you dump them into the Lido. It really cuts down on the static for me.

When done grinding, I hold the grinder at an angle and lightly tap the grind chamber against the stand, turning a quarter turn and repeating until I've knocked it four times. This seems to do it.
