I thought I'd update Eric and the rest of the forum. After soaking the temperature probe in vinegar for about 40 minutes, then cleaning and scrubbing with a blue scrubby (didn't have steel wool or green pads in the house), I reinstalled it and am still having pressure drops. CCS has recommended I take off the vacuum breaker next to inspect it and descale it, plus a replacement has already been shipped to arrive next week under my warranty.

Can someone tell me, regarding my other issue of a suspected brew valve leak, if a misaligned brew lever switch could be causing it? When the machine arrived last year, I noticed that the arm presses the microswitch when it's in the middle position. I had called CCS and was told not to worry since I don't have line preinfusion with a vibe pump. But fast forward, I wonder if it's something wrong with the arm or cam, and not the switch. Thoughts?
