I believe the Grindmaster 890 uses ditting burrs too.
A search will reveal many posts and opinions on it.

For the price you're not going to do better, or even come close. It would be compared to an EK43.
I own an EK43 and absolutely love it. I've never used the a Bunn G series, but if its half the cost and "comparable" to the Ek43, that's a tall order! I'll have to take a look...

You have some recommends for the top shop grinders but since you said you can afford X now or more later...

I will just mention I just bought a Lido 3 for pourover/Aeropress & am really amazed
So nice & consistent & such a mega upgrade from the hario/tiamo I used before

Like you I am not doing Espresso right now as we are about to move back to the US from Asia
So I am waiting & will buy a complete setup after we get home

But for now & manual brewing I am utterly blown away by this Lido 3
Quality in the cup of course is so much better than the old hand grinder but I never expected this.
It has really opened my eyes to the often stated Importance of a good Grinder :)

Also recommend the lido. The hand turning for a single cup of coffee really only takes about 30 seconds for ~20grams. I had a lido E and a virtuoso at the same time and the lido blows it's away in terms of grind particle size consistency to the naked eye.
