Don't have anywhere close to that level of patience (or acid, for that matter). I've ran two litres with 50 grams every half-litre in about a day; it started by ejecting lots of crud, now it's just a tiny little grain of scale or two for every large cup. I can live with that, for the time being at least. I might do a more thorough descaling once I find a cheaper source of acid.

Calcinet comes from Italy, every espresso parts supplier should have it, it's not expensive here, less than $20/Kg so it ought to be really cheap there.
