I'll take your word for it and not bother with LC-Milk - only supplier of it here no longer carries it anyway.
I tried the Carolyn's milk I linked to above yesterday - a mix of heavy cream, milk powder and water with a touch of salt. The double cream I used was completely solid at room temp so didn't mix well, making for a thin and lumpy liquid , but steaming mixed it well to make quite a good, silky result. No obnoxious flavors, it tasted pretty good. Latte marking it was a bit thin but looking forward to stretching a bit more next time.
